Aso Gori Sonar Bangla has implemented various programs for the socio-economic development of distressed women. Under the Distressed Women Development Program, the development of women continues through awareness raising and skill development training in small business, goat rearing and cow rearing, net weaving, fisheries and homeside vegetable cultivation.

For the development of destitute and neglected women, Aso Gori Sonar Bangla conducts the following activities –

• To provide skill development and social awareness raising training to distressed women.
• Provide vocational training.
• Involvement in income generating projects.
• To create awareness about the health and nutrition of mothers, children and adolescents.
• Provide training on sanitary latency and cleanliness.
• Poverty management and climate change impacts, domestic chicken and poultry rearing training.
• To provide training on HIV and AIDS and harmful aspects of alcohol and tobacco products.
• Provide training in vegetable cultivation beside the house.
